ARB Bull bar question...

I just purchased an ARB Bull Bar for my 92 4Runner and am having it installed as we speak. One of the techs just called saying that my signal light covers don't fit the ARB bumper, and that I would have to get some for a 88 pickup from the dealer?

Is this typical for those of you who have had this install or do you think they ordered the wrong bumper? I just want to make sure I got the right one.

The stock turn signals from my '91 bumper fit my ARB just fine.
Is there a difference between the '91 and '92 turn signals?
Here is the stock '91

Corey-- I'm not sure if there's a difference...they APPEAR the same, but I can't tell. Not having my truck here with me is also not helping the situation.

I guess I'll call them Monday and ask them to be sure that they don't fit.

When they told me to get lights for an 88 Toyota truck from the dealer, my immediate thought was that they ordered the wrong bumper for me, however surely if that were the case, it wouldn't bolt on correctly, right?

It is in one of the install sheets I scanned in.

the turn signals are the same from 90 to 95 i replaced mine from a 95 and they fit the arb just fine, needed a little adjustment of course. I'd go have a look at what they are talking about.

The indicators from my '91 bumper fit fine in my ARB. Make sure they have the correct bumper (I used a 3414070, standard ARB winch bull bar). It was marked on the box, on the bag the bumper was sealed in and on the bumper itself. Pretty hard to screw up, but ya never know. There's a right and left indicator, so maybe they got them backwards?

Mine fit fine in my ARB, but to make them a little more snug I used some small nylon spacers to snub em up to the mounting brackets on the ARB.

Ditto on what someone else said; the new signals came with mine. Bulbs, lenses, wiring, everything was included.

Thanks for everyone's replies!

I am in a different city than my truck now, but they finished installing it along with my SAW torsion bars and got the truck aligned. They said that the signals do fit, but they're not exactly flush with the bumper. According to the tech, the 88 lights will fit so I might just go pick some of those up soon. He also said that the ride was considerably stiffer, which I expected with the new torsion bars.

I can't wait to see it and hope it looks good, especially with the cash I put out for it.

Anyway, I'll post some pics after I wash and wax it.

I had to make mine fit and they work just fine. Ive seen some people that get brand new turn signals from ARB with their bumper. Dont know why I didnt.

My 94's signals lens fit right in and like someone else said, they ran the same from 90 - 95.

in my 87 the turn signals were too short, so i just used one screw and it's held just fine and you cant tell. but i do know that the spots for them are too big, i thought that i might have the bumper for the 90-95. The front end is the same, minus the lights...to the best of my knowledge.

I just finished putting an ARB winch bumper on my 92. Exactly as they said, the signal lens is not flush, it sits behind the hole that is cut in the bumper. Don't worry, it will look fine.

Here is mine with the new bumper:

Edit: Ooops that pic is pretty BIG. Still learning how to insert images correctly.

Wow that looks good...I'm looking forward to seeing mine this weekend.

I can't even tell from that picture that they're not flush.

Picked up a Superwinch roller fairlead for my ARB today. I'm not sure if it is going to fit. Do the vertical rollers mount to the part that protrudes out from the bumper or do they just fit beneath it? My truck is somewhere else right now so I can't just walk outside and check it.
