Anyone using the KYB AGX shocks?

Yes, I did a search on this.

The Revtek lift is here and before I install it I want to replace the shocks and get an alignment.

Here's the question. The ones I am looking at are the AGX Adjustable Gas Shock. Has anyone had experience with these shocks? Here's the link: http://www.kyb.com/products/detail.php?ID=4

I ran these in my Talon for years.

I was not aware that they made them for 4Runners.

4Runner Fitment

On a side note, does anyone manufacture adjustable shocks for 3rd Gen 4Runners?

Had the AGXs on my Eclipse and they were good for a cheaper shock but I'd heard some people have them blow out with a lot of road course and drag racing action after a few years but I wouldn't know about the 4wd version. I didn't even think they made this shock for trucks.

I can get a set for about $350 (cdn), out the door. I have to make a decision soon so maybe I'll be a "guinea pig" on this one and try them out.

I ran these on my 91' Runner and they greatly improved the dreaded rear end sag that plagued all 2nd gen runners. I will be replacing the ones on my 99' with KYB's again, great product!

I am very interested in how this turns out for you.

I would love to have adjustable struts in the truck.

"BC-4Runner", I should've paid a little more attention to what you were trying to say as I just found out that my parts guy screwed up and that NO these specific shocks do NOT fit the 4Runner.

So...like you posted...Does anyone know who makes adjustable shocks for the 4Runner?

After reading up on every possible link I could find in the YotaTech "search" engine, I've decided to give the Tokico Trek Master shocks a try. From what I've gathered, these shocks best fit my needs, smooth ride being the biggest factor there. There were so many different opinions on all the brands of shocks out there so I'm taking an educated guess and taking the plunge with these ones. Lets hope for the best.

I've got non adjustable KYB showcks and they are stiff as a mother fudger, can't flex if my life depended on it the other wheel comes up before full flex and flexing the front is a joke. They make the truck handle really well but you feel absolutely everything and I have a bunch of new rattles. I recomend them for on road but I'd stay away from them for offroad
