Are you talking about maybe a Safari guard? It just loops up from the mounts, to about the bumper level and then back down to the mounts? That is what I think you might be talking about. :beaver:

There are a couple of those style guards around. There was a guy named DOK who had one, but I don't remember if it was a Waag or not. His site is down (perm??) but here is the link if it comes back:

http://dok-4runner.freeservers.com

His was the type from Performance Products (PP) I think,

I want one that is similar to the Taco/Tundra that PP sells, but it is not available for the 4Runner . As I have to work in the city, I want a simple guard that will protect the bumper from people who 'dock' their cars, instead of parallel parking  , and another mounting point for some lights. Ideally I want one that will follow the lines of the 99+ bumper bulge and not extend above the bumper. I wonder if Corey's slider guy would custom make something like that? hmmmmm

Just give it a nudge...

Here is the TJM T-16. TJM has these on their website, and this pic here was sent to me a few years back by JD from the land of OZ.
He shagged it on his lunch break I think.

It is for the 2nd gen 4Runners and the '89 to '95 trucks.

This bar below here I can't remember where I got it. My hard drive is full of pics I collect from the 'Net.
I beleive this is on a 3rd gen.

I'm sure the guy who made my sliderz could fab something like this, but he'd have to have a rig to work with.
He is doing some drawings for me now to figure out what type of rear bumper I am going to go with.
he makes rear tube bumpers, but I'd rather have a solid wrap around type and with shackles shagged onto it on each side similar to Bent Up's design.

Any good custom fab shop if you took the two above pics could posibly fab one up.
The first one just uses stock mounting holes underneath I am sure.

Corey - it looks like the PP bar is really a Westin

http://www.westinautomotive.com/page...ll%20bars.html

I like that style - but they don't list Toys under applications

I put a stainless ouland half bumper guard on mine but it is really just thee to mount a few lights. I made some stainless plates to attach to the front of it because I found it shakes from side to side a little over bumps. I mounted an antenna to it and that was how I could tell. I needed to change the stainless hardware to grade eight steel because the stainless bolts "stretched" too much when I tightened them.
