Anyone have a 1998 4runner with factory keyless entry?

Sorry to dig this thread up from the grave, but I'm still annoyed as hell with not having keyless entry. If I purchased an RS3000/3200 module off ebay, would it be easy enough to wire in and program a remote?

Here is a link to a company that sells the whole system for $250.25. http://www.brandsport.com/toy-08585-33830-pk1.html This is if you do not have factory keyless remote entry. They also have a kit if you already have the KRE for significantly less ($69.69) http://www.brandsport.com/toy-08585-35840.html . I installed the latter kit in my 00 SR5 Runner in about 1 hour. Hope this helps.

If you already had KRE, what did you buy the kit for. I only ask, because I already have power locks on my 98' limited model, and I wonder if I can get away with the $69.95 package.

I bought the kit because I didn't have the alarm - just the KRE. After installation, I now have Vehicle Intrusion Protection (VIP), and a glass break senser. The VIP 3000 also locks all the doors when the key is turned on and unlocks them when you turn it off. This can be reprogrammed if you don't like the doors locking. You can also program the system to automatically lock the doors after a set amount of time (if the key is not in the ignition.)

Keep in mind that I already had the Toyota Factory KRE.
