Anyone good with Carbs?

After reading thru the haynes manual on high engine idle, it appears there are a few things that could possibly need adjusting. The choke, the carb itself (which at the moment is adjusted as far as it can go), or the dashpot. Has anyone done this before and is it a difficult task?

Did you also check your timing? If your engine is idling high, it could be attributed to timing needing to be adjusted.
There is only one knob that you should be concerned about when adjusting the idle. It's the only knob on the side of the carb with a "thumb wheel."
