Has anyone here taken their 03 4Runner w/JBL synthesis audio into the dealer for the JBL-related service bulletin?

I'd like to know if the TSB work did anything to improve the low volume rear speaker and sub problem most JBL synthesis audio owners have reported (including myself).

 

There is a TSB for this ?

 

Where did you find the TSB ???

I just searched alldatapro and cannot find it ?

Maybe the dealers just got a new TSB not posted yet? I noticed the tsb's stop in April so they might be behind.

 

The service manager at the dealer where I bought mine tells me that they get TSBs by snail mail, so they are on Alldata and NHTSA before he gets them.

 

Yes. I got it from (the member-only section) of TundraSolutions.com.

The TSB number is AU003-03, dated June 16, 2003.

From the TSB:
"When first starting the vehicle, some customers may experience a condition where there is static noise from all channels of the audio system or no sound from the audio system. This condition typically occurs on cold mornings. Once the amplifier warns up, normal operation is restored. An improved JBL amplifier is available to address this condition."

Once I was playing with my truck and I started it up and their was no volume, but it was already warmed up, anyways I'll keep this in the back of my head cause the service is so bad where I go it'll take them 3 days to perform it, I'll save it for when I hae them do the SC
