Anybody Have Information on this 4Runner?

Third generation 4Runner with a Toyota solid front axle!?! The differential is on the passenger side, while the stock transfercase drop is on the driver side. Could this be the example of Inchworm Gear divorce-mount that I've been looking for? I would really appreciate any information about this awesome truck.

You can get a left or right front output...go about 1/2 the way down on the page. http://www.marlincrawler.com/htm/tra...e/taco_box.htm

Thanks for the link Hopper. I have seen these before, but i guess I did not pay much attention. Inchworm has an adapter that also bolts to the 1995.5-2004 A430F Toyota 4-speed automatic transmission and allows the use of the type II Toyota gear drive transfercases.

Think that front axle could be out of an 80 series Land Cruiser?
I have an 84 4Runner (no trans, yet) and a 98 (slightly modded), but never took any width measurements. I stopped by the local 4x4 shop today and they had an FZJ80 on the lift. The axle was much beefier than my 84's. If I ever did a SAS on my 98, I would like to have the fzj axle under it. I'm a purist: all Toyota parts, no Dana stuff.
