I like using that screen material used to make fireplace sceens.

Sometimes you can find fireplace sceens slightly damaged in the store and ask for a discount or look for end of season specials. One fireplace screen will do several grills.

I can't see pic at work, but I am guessing you could do the "satoshi" (search) and use either old same toyota symbol, or order "T O Y O T A" symbol, or you could buy my '99 grill off of me (pm if interested)

If you like the look of the newer gen 3 grills such as the one from a 99 or 02 they are both different then your current stock grill. No modification needed, simple direct replacement. Several on here have also done screens, ribs etc by modifing their OEM grills. I used the one from a 2000 which is different then the one that came on my 98. Went right along with the headlight upgrade that I did. Remember, if you cut up your old one its hard to replace it back to stock if you need to. Also the 99 and up grills will stick out a little bit farther then the 96-98 grills.

Here is the stock 98 grill. Note the gray center where the Toyota logo lives and its inset farther back then the edges.

This is the grill from a 2000. The center is chrome and is flush with the sides. But like I said, the 2000 grill sticks out farther so I had to remove my Hella's temporarily.

The nice thing is you can change the look of your truck with zero modification. Unclip the hold points for your current grill and then snap the replacement grill in place. You might get lucky like I did and find a newer Gen 3 in a wrecking yard that hasn't suffered a frontal crash and score the grill cheap

I just noticed you list O'side as your location. Is that Oceanside, CA? if so where? I grew up in Carlsbad and was just down there two weeks ago!
