Any hope for headgasket recall?
I am in a sticky wickett here.
The 95 4Runner with 120,000 miles I bought from a Toyota dealership has just blown a headgasket.
I know there are several different stories and opinions about the reacall.
I will call my dealer tomorow (parts and service is closed), but I need info.
Share some hard facts on the recall, phone numbers. Dates and mileage you had it performed. Dealers that did it, even if I have to tow it 150 miles it would be a good deal.
I need your help and input for anything and everything.
Thanks,
Lamm

Find out when the rig was manufactured...mine was manufactured in, I believe June? June or January (it was with a J, lol) and it was covered.
But I didn't know you bought the rig from a dealer, DEFINITELY go back and b*tch about it! They should defnitely try and work with you on it, if not, take it to Toyota HR, they're REALLY good about getting you what you want, when I went through the hassle with my fuel gauge TSB (note, these are not recalls, I am supposed to incur all charges), they read the wrong item to replace and made me pay for it, well they reimbursed me for that AND paid for the other part that NEEDED to be replaced. More of a reason to love Toyota!

No I don't but the dealer should have it posted somewhere in plain site, I think its a rule for most dealers, if not just ask them. They are required to tell you, thats what I did.
Good luck!
