Smile Another “Deck Plate” mod done.

I just want share this with you guys: done my ‘Deck Plate” mod yesterday.
Had “Elbow” mod for about year and always wanted to do Deck Plate.
Now it’s done.:-))
I am not sure about power gain but it defiantly a lot more noise with WOT.
Do others also have noise increased with Deck Plate?

My truck started whining really loud after I opened the deckplate.

But yeah, after opening it up you will have more noise.

Dang... if only there was a function on the forum. Or a tech sction on the forum would be cool. But a would be cool 'cause then people could research quesitons and not have to wonder if there was a tech section. So, if there was a button, where would you put it? I wonder if it'd be a blinking yellow button? 'Cause without a function, then we'd have tons of threads with the same information, and that would really be a pain for people that did use a function.

huh... weird.

As practice... one of those things has an answer behind it.

I don't know about my power gain either, but yes, my truck is very loud also.

Then again, I did the ISR mod too, that's when the noise really came up. In normal driving it's hardly noticable.

The novelty is cooling down a litttle, I think I'm going to make 300 miles to the tank once again....maybe.

If I'm not mistaken, with a deckplate, and ISR mod, up to 10 hp gain has been dyno proven. I def. noticed a sound difference. Especially on the road, when my wife is sleeping, and I floor it, and she opens up one eye, and quietly says.... "knock it off, honey."

I have a piece of paper showing 6hp from my deckplate. The ISR doesn't add HP, it improves throttle response.

(ooo... do you think Mr. V will ask "what's the ISR"?)

Oh yeah, that's right... I forgot, my TRD stickers add the extra 4 hp. What was I thinking?

I think I'm gonna boilerplate that one. Maybe make a macro where I can change the "hidden answer" link.
