I can get you the chrome turns I think?

That ebay link won't work for 01-02 4Runners. The bulbs changed in 2001.

I don't know what he's selling but that particular auction says 98+ 4runners. In 01-02 the bulbs/sockets changed.

theyre 7440 or 7443 bulbs or whatever it is that fits , as in the 01-02s. the sockets that fit into the taillight housing changed, not the bulbs.

When I changed my tails to the 2001's, the bulbs were much smaller in size. I don't know why they did this.

My '98 4Runner tail light uses 7440 & 7443, 7443 is dual-mode. I am using these 15x 7440 & 7443 in my SUV. But I have TYC tail light too so my case can be different from yours, I will take some pics. soon to show you guys. LED bulbs can work wonder IF and only if your lamp lens & reflector are shaped well for them. For example, diffused lens works worse than clear lens when it comes to LED. A well-around reflector (and preferably symmetrical) works better than irregular-shaped reflector (eg: corner parking lamps).

Another thing, when it comes to LED, always choose the same color LED as the lens that it is going into. LED emits light monochromically, unlike filament bulb that emits in fuller spectrum. Yes, even those colored filament bulbs emit in full spectrum, its glass filters out all but the designated color (ie: minimize intensity).

Do my LED work well? Hell yes. I will never go back to incandescent bulbs...

I also changed my OEM '98 tails to '01 tails once and found out that they minimize the size of 1 or 2 bulbs in there. That is so stupid. But then when I changed again to my current TYC tails, I found out that they use '98 harness, I was so happy. And I re-lamped everything into LED. Technically, I never need to change these LED bulbs ever again. We shall see about that.

Do you want to get these locally or online?

If local: Next Level Motorsports, 978-692-9969 and ask for Domenic, Jr. They are located in Westford, MA. Tell him Edward sends you please.

If online: http://www.SigmaAuto.com and click on "Lighting - Bulbs", NOTE: This is MY company.

Let me post some photos to show you first, all in all, LED fills the lamp housing a lil' less than incandescent (ie: dimmer in general) but if you choose an LED bulb that emits in all directions, you can utilize the reflector well and the result can be very satisfactory. Another thing, LED draws so lil' current that my ABS indicator is lit (did you know that ABS on = a burned bulb somewhere in our Runner? I paid $80 to learn about this, $80 = ABS diagnostic test). Any way, to remedy this, you may need the Load Resistor Kit per each turn signal LED bulb. But try the bulbs first, use the LRK only if the ABS indicator is lit.

If there's enough interest, I can organize a group-buy and you guys will pay below those MSRP posted on our site.

Let me know.

Edward

Yes, but it's actually easier to use 194. If you have your owner's manual handy, look under the "Replacing light bulbs -" section.

Mine is for the '98 4Runner Ltd:
5w Wedge (C) = 194
27w Single end (B) = 1156
21w Wedge (C) = 7440
21/5w Wedge (C) = 7443

And so on ...
