this is not acceptable: 1) the settlement figure is based upon whatever stock plus factory accesories you had on the truck. (they are not giving you true replacement value) You will have to itemize your aftermarket parts with reciepts. Also, check you policy to see if it mentions the terms of your coverage ie. aftermarket parts. 2) You can only replace your aftermarket parts with factory original equipment. 3) You will have to have a legal rep to handle this negotiation or the insurance company will probably deaf ear you.

I do NOT recommend taking the parts off of the truck. Since, you have agreed to a settlement figure.. which btw you should not have; since it didnt cover the aftermarket parts...

removing ANYTHING from the truck now would be a felony. You need legal counsel at this point.

Originally they only want to give me $4000!!!! The only reason they gave me more was because I found similar vehicles for more. Legal recourse would be an option but im fed up with them and I'm tired of being without a vehicle. It just doesn't seem worth it. No KY for me.
