Jeez, im in norcal right now and I'll be heading out to CU Boulder in August, and I had no idea about the correlation between altitude and horsepower loss. Interesting...

I think it's 10% power-loss for every 5K feet of elevation. Driving through the higher passes is really unbelievable how much difference there is in power.
