Alpine HU installation

re thread:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...&threadid=5585

I finally resolved this.

I removed Toyota's amplifier and the noise is gone.

It wasn't complicated, but I talked to 2 professional installers
and both gave me wrong advice and parts!!!

Sweet! Glad to hear you resolved it on your own. Always good to hear a success story!

Good to hear you got it fixed...I didnt' see your original thread, or I would have pointed you in that direction right off...I might have been out of town when you posted it or something??? Anyways, yes, you must remove the factory amp WHENEVER POSSIBLE in all cars ~only exception being the new dodges, which you can interface without much interferance.

Agreed. In some applications it will work fine, however having the stock amplifier inline will only limit available headroom and possibly induce distortion (like you were experiencing) into the system because of different I/O levels.

Glad you got it working!
