For all SC 4runner in CA, wut octane ?

Currently I am using 87 octane on my 4runner.
I am thinking to SC it. IF I SC it, do I fill it up with 89 or 91 ???
Also I am confused with type of supercharge. What do you mean by 1st or 2nd gen supercharger ?
I saw 2001 w/ 2nd gen supercharger but isn't 2001 is a 3rd gen 4runner ?
Plz enlight me

Fill it with the highest octane fuel you can get before you install the supercharger.

Fill her up with premium gas if you're going to be supercharging it

the higher the better (just buck up on the back pocket!)

As for 1st/2nd gen supercharger, it's just telling you that it has the version 1 or 2 supercharger. TRD came out with the initial supercharger and then made some revisions later and called it 2nd gen supercharger

(hope this clears it up).
