If its a Double Cab, then all you can get is automatic. I thought that you could get a X-Cab with a manual...

The 01-04 double cabs are all autos.
I've heard that the 05+ DCs can be found in manual

All 98-04 prerunners are autos unless they have been changed out by the owners. 05+ I don't know...

My mother had a Prerunner a few years ago with a 5speed. I'm fairly sure she didn't swap it out...

The prerunners that came from the factory (98-04) were all automatics. The 5 speed was not an option for prerunners. You could get a regular 2WD (5 Lug) 5 speed, and a 4X4 5 speed. but no prerunners were ever manufactured with 5 speeds. Now with that being said, I know a few people who have converted prerunners to 5 speeds, including mine...

Thanks for the props. It's been a long time comming. Finally it's getting closer to being finished. Just need a little paint, and a couple more interior pieces. Then just regular maintence crap..

My bad.
I emailed my Mom and she said no, the Prerunner was an auto. They took it back about 20 times for driveline problems and finally said screw it and traded it for a 2wd Cherokee with a 5 speed. She said I probably am remembering the white 5speed Dakota they had before the white Prerunner. <deep sigh> I don't know which I hate to admit more - that I was wrong, or that my own mother drives a 2wd Cherokee..........

I think it'd be worse to admit that you drive a 2WD Cherokee...
