I know there is a thread on it here someplace. I thought about doing it too but after reading that thread I figured mine was just fine. Here's another thread discussing it, but not doing it. Has anyone mentioned the Tundra brake mod? I saw it on here and did it since I overheated my brakes coming off a mountain road loaded with camping gear and guns. 2006 Tundra calipers and rotors on my 99 4Runner, I love it. Great list of mods.

+1 on the Tundra brakes upgrade.

My '99 stops waaay better now, and I can tow boats and such through the mountains with much more confidence.

Search Satoshi mod and you'll find many write ups on it. I did it, not too difficult either.

I also did the tundra brake upgrade on my truck but doesn't seem to be a link in the OP. If someone can find one of the good all inclusive writeups on it I will update it.

Just do a simple google search and find out. Business practices and general attitude complaints are posted all over the internet over many forums, including this one. As you know, bad word of mouth spreads much quicker than good.

I was trying for 20 minutes to find one thread in particular, but no luck. May have been deleted. Anyway, I had no problems with the guy, but apparently there were many many complainted filed with the mods. I've lost no sleep over it

Thanks, I looked that up and seems pretty simple. I really like the look of that and kind of a throw back also to the LCs up to early 90's and of course the FJs.

This is a great forum, I've used it for years but never contributed as you can see... second post. Hopefully I can give some to the group that have helped me so much through the years.

I was caught off guard by the same finding a while back. Some of his threads are gone and he disappeared without mention. I trust there was adequate justification for his dismissal, it's just surprising from a contributing and sponsoring member.
