I'm selling the running boards off of my '96 4Runner SR5. Will these fit on any 3rd gen?

 

Nope, only your model. Technically they will fit all 3rd gens but will need the same trim/mud flaps/fender flares as you have.

 

Correct, running boards will fit but you must have correct trim, mud flap. Some are chrome, black, and color coded to vehicle trim. 96-98 have black flares, limited flares, chrome molding and no flares. 99-01 also has the sport flares.

 

hmmm...well that stinks. The guy who wants to buy my running boards has a 2001 SR5 sport. I'm guessing they won't work?
