Help with the install you mean? Its easy.

1. Loosen, don't remove, the 6 nuts (12mm) that hold on the ADD adapter. I used penetrating oil to loosen the cone washers and then beat the end of the studs with a socket extension and hammer. When the cone washers are loose then remove the nuts, washers, and cone washers. You will reuse all of them.
2. Take the grease cap off the ADD adapter and remove the center nut (12mm).
3. Put on a new gasket and then install manual hub base - of course you shouldn't have the cap or its internal parts on for this.
4. Reinstall center nut - I used loctite and then held the central shaft in place with a flat blade screwdriver.
5. Install cap with the 6 10mm nuts.

Make sure you use 2 new washers per side as it would really suck to get water in there.

Think Tech

Look in the Tech section here.
There is a write-up for the Warn's which is similar.

We do need an Aisin install write-up.
If you can take pics while you put them on, and submit it to me, your aricle will be up in the Tech section.

And look through some of the posts here for the aprt #s of the 2 each (4 total) gaskets you need to put them on.
The #s are also on my website.

Hey Metal

Glad to hear you got your hubs and they're the right ones. Think Jason might be setting me up with a set. May they wear well for you!

Metal, slow down.... slow down. Breathe, come on.. slow deep breaths. In, out, in, out, in, out. Ok. You said the person greased the hubs for you? Thats great, as long as it was done right. Check some tech pages, make sure they were'nt OVER greased. (it can happen) Are the end cap gaskets there? Rubber o-rings in place??
I'd hate to see you have a problem w/ them over something small. You'll really like them. 1st thing I noticed... it felt like I rebuilt my front end. The rig drives and steers so much "easier"
Good mod.

You mean the bearing in the base? Yes - from the bottom there is a c-clip. Use a small flat screwdriver to pry it from its slot and then the bearing will come loose. You don't have to if everything looks clean but I had old grease that I wanted to get clean so I could put nothing but new grease in.

Metal

There are a couple of snap rings at the back of the hub. You need to take the inner one off first and then the big outer one. Easier to get off than to put back on, but worth it. If youre gonna rebuild them you may as well fully do it and have peace of mind.
Goodluck

You don't need to take the tires off so you could do it at your apt.

If you leave the wheels on.......

Be extra carefull with the hammer! I would go get a brass drift that way you don't bugger the hub body studs when you tap them to get the cone washers off.

But you could just leave the nuts on and unscrew them until they are flush then tap on the nuts.
(I still used my father in laws brass drift)

I found that a tap towards the center of the hub helped release the cone washers ON THE DONOR TRUCK. Don't just work on one, work your way around the hub and tap.

When you get ready to tighten the center bolt just start it up and put it in 4wd. The half shaft wont budge an inch.

I gained 1 MPG so far with my hubs installed. Someone said that the truck is more nimble, Heck yea I agree!!!!

A very nice mod! Nice and easy!

DO not forget the new gaskets!

30 min job taking your time!

Don't forget to goto Lowes and get your stainless M6 Bolts with washers to hold the hub cap on. It makes them look spiffy. Plus they will never rust.....you can install them now and do the stainless later

Hokiez97 said it all. Hey Metal, those hubs really looking great. They are the reflection of Victor's hubs.

I bet you are having fun with these hubs. Congratulations!

Hey Metal,

Actually I may paint mine black this spring. They look pretty darn good.... My wife will problebly tell me to paint it some other color though.. :frown:

I am planning on getting a hole saw and fitting my black plasic caps back over the body like 4x4CPOSEADOG................

Good job!!!

Hey guys, I have a really stupid question, the Aisin hubs are an aftermarket part for toys? Have they ever come with them stock I thought I bought my truck bone stock from the previous owner, so I thought that the aisins on mine came with it. Thanks!
