Are AirLift bags trail worthy?

My truck is overloaded and I pull trailers too. I need to help my leaf springs which are sitting on the load limit springs. MY off-roading consists of poorly maintained roads and the occasional rutted field. Nothing extreme but in researching what to do I notice very few people opt for air bags. Will I have to worry about my articulation with Air Lift Ride Control helper bags? Should I be looking at Monroe adjustable air shocks? I want something that will be strong and not overload other components of my truck while bringing it back to stock height, eliminate some of the body rolling I'm experiencing and not be too stiff when the truck is empty. I feel like I can do the wrenching on an air bag install but new leafs or AAL might be out of my range as I do not have enough tools. My budget is about $500 so I would entertain other ideas as bags and compresor comes in under $300.

After researching a lift for a 2006 Tacoma, the one fix most often mentioned for heavy hauling was air bags.

You could also go with a leaf spring kit to match the weight you're hauling. I'm not aware of anyone who makes a specific kit for the Tacoma, but Deaver would be a good place to start. I'ver heard that the standard Deaver kit is too soft (for better articulation) to haul heavy loads, but I don't have any experience with them.

Demello Offroad sells and installs Deaver leaf springs. I've had them make me a set of sliders and a rear bumper. While I was in the shop they were working a couple project trucks with custom leaf spring upgrades. Give Jason a call to get some better advise.

no dissadvange to them off road. you can air them down and get wicked flex out of your (now) soft leaf springs.

else why not some new leafs? OME makes a great set of HD ones for just your application it sounds like.
