Hi gang. I saw a few threads about instead of doing the deckplate mod on 3rd gens, just leave the lid of your airbox open. Be careful doing this. The lid has clips that hold the airfilter in place. Without the lid my amsoil airfilter would fall out of place.

 

Thats what the C-Clamp is used for

 

I used a section of pipe for this while I was waiting for a deckplate. Notched both ends, and slip it in.
