Air horn install brought to you by an obsessive compulsive...

Here we go, removed the grille, headlight, blinker, coolant reservoir.

The air pump. 12 gauge wires soldered on as any corrosion and poor contact in the future would be a pain to fix. Wires bonded to the body just for neatness and so pulling on them won't damage anything.

This is the view from driver side wheel well. The hole was there and not used for anything, so perfect place to mount the pump.

Pump mounted under the coolant reservoir. Battery on left, radiator on right.

Top view of the horn mounted on a small custom bracket. Wire loom on air hose so it doesn't rub a hole. This is a one horn setup. Two horns had an annoying "buzz/resonance" to them. One is just as loud and low! It's all about placement anyway.

Front view. The horn is tilted upward so no water will enter. It is also front firing with virtually no obstruction.

And another view from inside the bumper.

No drilling involved. Thinking up and the locations took up most of the time. Think the idea is worthy of a writeup?

Work for me, the pics worked for me too.
NICE install! mine was almost as neat as yours. We didn't even cut the stock harness so I can plug the stockers back in if I want. My set also comes with two settings, one side of hookups are regular blast of both trumpts on. But if powered by the other side then they oscilate. Makeing a euro-police sound. So we made up a little circuit with two relays giving me the ability to switch the horns from the cab. I put the setup in the runner the same time I put the TJM on and the trumpets fit perfectly where the winch goes. I will have to mount them elsewhere when I get a winch, but I have a little while. Nice work!

Curious: how did you interface to the factory harness? For now it’s just in there with some electrical tape around. I didn’t sleep well at all
