Does anyone know where to hook up the reader wire or wire that hooks up to your coil on a 3rz tacoma motor? I've searched high and low and looked over the wiring diagrams in my fsm and i cant find a decent wire to hook this up too. The coil's internal on this distributor and i think if I was to hook it up i would have to splice into the wiring harness coming off the distributor and I'm trying to avoid doing this. My truck came without a tachometer from the factory. My truck is a lifted 96 tacoma with a 2.7 4banger. Any advice is appreciated.

 

at the igniter located on the left side of the engine compartment and it is the black wire

 

thanks man just now found it so i just splice my tach wire into that or what?

 

yea just solder it on there and you will b good to go
