Just wanted to let you know that Bilstein will be releasing some adjustable coil-overs very similar to the SAWs for the 4Runner. Do not have too much info on them this moment, however, come next monday I should have some more. If anyone has any specific questions let me know and I will address them. Talk to you soon!

I just recieved a new Northwest catalog and it has adjustable bilstein coilovers for tundras, they're new, any one have any experience with these???

 

What is the spring rating and how does the compression and rebound dampening compare with the regular Bils?

I just got the new NWOR Catalog also and saw the Coilovers, I'd definitely be interested in a set if they offer them for the 4Runners (Or even if the Tundra ones would fit on a 4Runner... But I really doubt it ) I'll be even more interested if they're priced lower than the SAW's (The Price is the only thing keeping me from getting the SAWs)

They are based on the 5100 series shock with adjustable 2.5 in progresive rate hypercoil spring. They say Tundra only, Tacoma model not even on the drawing board. no pricing, just says available 10/15. think we could make them fit

 

thought this would inspire more discusion. no one has more info??

 

Welp, the new NWOR catalog does list them for the Tundras. And it does say that there is nothing at all on the drawing board for Tacomas...

I was at a Toyota dealership a while back and they had a Downey coilover setup using Bilsteins for the Tacoma. It is adjustable from 2 -4 inches but not recommended to go over 2" due to joint stress.

This was my thread I asked about them. I'm not sure if they're the same setup you guys are talking about I just thought I would throw it out there since people are saying nothing existed for the Tacoma from Downey.

 

I am pretty sure they will fit, but the load rating will be higher and will probably result in a stiffer ride. My buddy bought SAWs from a Tacoma for his Tundra and it fits fine. Before I got my lift I called King shocks and asked about their coilover kit. He told me that the 4runner would use the same set up as a Taco. I asked him about any weight differences and he told me that only the Tundras were different because they use a stiffer spring. I am pretty sure the any coilover for a Tundra would work on a 4runner, but it will be a pretty stiff ride. just my 2 cents.

 

I thought a lot of people are using the tundra valved race runners for the 4Runner
