ADD/Manual hub t/case

Question: I have a 96 4Runner 3.4 with ADD and auto trans. Is the t/case from a 97 Tacoma with manual locking hubs the same or are they different?
Thanks
Jason

Manual locking hubs has nothing to do with transfer case selection.
The main differences between transfer cases is "Jshift" or "push button" gear selection and which engine/ transmission combo the case came off of.
You need a transfer case off of the same engine and trans combo that you currently have.
If you already have a Jshift case, don't get a push button. If you have a push button case, you can convert to Jshift easily with minor wiring modifications to make everything function properly. Jshift cases are obviously more reliable than the push button cases due to not having the gear switching electrical actuator on the back of the case.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if there was a difference or not and I appreciate the info on this. I'll keep the t/case as I'd like to eventually go manual swap one day.
