I bought a 2002 4Runner Sport 2 months ago. After the dealer wax job wore off I began noticing alot of small spots all over. I went to a detailer and he told me it was acid rain damage. I previously had a Ford Contour SVT black like my 4Runner and had no problems with the paintthat. The dealer is now telling me that they have to try and get Toyota to pay to have the roof and hood repainted and the rest of the car compunded. They also showed me a manual that states acid rain damage is not covered by the warranty. They aren't winning any points with this first time Toyota owner. Is this something that is random? What do you guys reccomend?

It sounds like a lot of crap to me. Press them hard to do it for free. I bet it was messed up when they recieved it and now they are trying to pass the blame. Unless you park next to a smokestack all the time, it should take years for something to show up and that is only if you did not take care of it. Just my opinion.
