AC box condensation?

Hi all,

Took a long trip to the beach for a few days last week. On the way there and back my girlfriend noticed that if I took a turn that was banked (like an off ramp etc) she got some drips of water on her feet! I pulled back the glove box yesterday after we got back and noticed a lot of condensation on the AC box b/h the glove box.
Is this normal if you have been running the AC for a few hours straight?

Thanks,
Mike

There is a drain hose coming out of the box. it normally drips onto the floor when parked, or the road while driving..

Yours might be plugged up with mud/crud. It's located on the passenger side, on the firewall.

I do see a good deal of water that drips under the car when it is parked or after I have stopped for a few mins.
When I looked at the box yesterday under the dash it looked wet and had condensation on it. I guess I can live with a few drips now and then...hope it doesn't get worse.

So the drain hose is open then? Something else is amiss, or you've got a darn good AC unit.

I assume the drain hose is open enough that is draining water! I always see a good puddle of water under the pass side of the truck after parking after the AC has been running.
My AC does run really well! We drove home from the beach over the wkend and the outside temp was reading 95 degrees plus and I had to turn the AC warmer b/c it was making me cold!

Mike I have the same issue although only intermittently. I don't think the drain hose is plugged as I can watch as water drips from the passenger side of the truck as the a/c is running. The condensation on the a/c box typically occurs when it is very humid outside. Perhaps this is normal.
