ABS Code 32 on 2000 T4R Limited not sensor!!

Okay I'm stumped. Bought a truck with the ABS light on. Read the code at it came up as 32. Replaced the front left/driver's abs sensor and the light is still on. The pedal is a little soft, I bled the brakes and they are still soft. I have also swapped out the abs module with one from another truck and the light came on pretty quickly. Any ideas? Is my new/used abs sensor bad? Could it be the abs pump? I did mess with the ECU/ECM and is it possible one of the wires is loose? It is the only problem with the truck. NO CEL. I have reset the code and it keeps coming back. Any help appreciated.

Did you clean off the tone ring for that speed sensor and check the wiring, grease and metal dust or pieces can obstruct the reading, is it an OEM sensor. The soft peddle doesn't sound related, usually you need to use the e-brake every now and then and/or adjust the rear brake manually so it is hard to get drum on and off, if the system hasn't been bled in a few years that should also be done as brake fluid has an infinity for water.

It is an OEM sensor and I have bled the brakes. I did some rear brake work so the soft petal may be the rear brakes. Thank you for that. Is there a chance it can be my abs module. The sensor is clean and the ring looks okay. It does look like there are some marks on it like something may have been rubbing on it. I'm leaning torwards it being the abs ring sensor being slightly marred up or the abs pump unit. Both are a little bit of work to replace so I'd like to figure it out before I start replacing parts. Thanks again.

Doubtful its the module since you swapped it, infact I have never heard of the module failing or of one being changed before, it would also be difficult to bleed the module.., the module is a bullet proof design by itself. Since the Sensor is magnetic I would pull it and inspect it and the tone ring for debris of anytype, if the tone ring has burrs on it something got in there and wore it down, wiring is pretty thin going to the sensor aswell, after changing the sensor I would suspect the wiring and connections at this age of the vehicle..
