hey all! i love the new look here. luckily i havent had a problems for a while so i havent posted an a bit.
here's what i've got goin on now. i recently had the rear seal replaced in my 99 tacoma ext cab automatic 4x4 v6 with 170k miles in it. it's been about a week now that i've had it back and when trying to put it in 4wd yesterday it wouldnt go. wouldnt even take the transfer case into neutral or L4. hubs locked in. tried in neutral, and park and drive. everything i could think of.

can ya'll give me some suggestions as to what to look for when i crawl under it this afternoon? my chilton book is mia, that's my usual resouce as a first line defense.

Have you tried engaging 4WD while reversing?
