99 4runner tires?

Hey guys,
I am looking for some good tires to put on my 4runner. I guess I will use the stick size of 275/70/r16. But I was just wondering what some of you have been putting on your 4 runner or tacoma's. I really want an aggressive tire but don't want mud tires either. I was thinking more like the Bridgestone Revo's, the Michelin LTX M/S or the goodyear wrangler. As you can see I don't really care about the brand; Just what looks good and aggressive. If you guys have any suggestions or pics it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks again.

For day to day driving I would say Revos.

If you want a kick butt highway tire (ie smooth ride and good gas mileage) then use the Michelins, but they are not a very agressive tire IMHO (but I do 95% or more strictly highway driving so gas milage is a big deal for me). Others have had good experience with Revos and now Nitto Terra Grapplers for the more agressive tire of choice.

Yeah I see that about the Michelin's. I really beleive I will go with hte revo's. I'm jsut not too sure yet. See I do aobut 90% town driving and maybe 10% off road so I need a tire that is going to last for awhile. Thanks for all the posting so far.

The Revo's are a good tire. You may also want to look at the LTX A/T as it is more aggressive than the LTX M/S (a true all-terrain vs. a highway tire). It will last a long time (I have over 68K on mine so far with about 50% tread left) and is fairly quiet.

I had the OE Wrangler RTS, and they suck in rain and snow, but are quiet and wear well if rotated regularly.

Try the Kumho ATs. Pricewise they can't be beat. Read the reviews at www.tirerack.com .

I put 275/65R16s on the wife's '99 4Runner to replace the P.O.S Goodyears that it came with. Even the wife, who doesnt care about such things, commented on how much better the traction and ride was.

I just put a set of 33x12.50s on my DD FJ60.
