99 4runner fog lights not working...

I installed new bulbs in my foglights about 4 months ago, all has been working great til last week. I notice my foglight were not on anymore even though the switch was on.

I replaced the fog light relay but that did not solve anything. Where else should I be looking? The relay clicks like it should when the light switch is turned on.

Could both new bulbs go bad at the same time? Any help is much appreciated.

Yes, both bulbs could have gone at the same time, seems to be a common occurance in Toyotas. If you've got a multimeter check for power at the lights. If you don't have one try a new bulb.

You should only post a question in one section. That way, all the information can be kept together, and it will make future searching easier for everybody. Either this section or the electrical section would have been fine, but you should avoid posting the same question in both.

PS. I posted my answer in your thread in the electrical section.

My PIAA GTX's ($70) went out at the same time. I though the same thing, that it was the relay. But both bulbs were bad...check those first.

I'm having this issue with my wife's 02 Highlander...replaced one bulb, now neither work (nice!). I thought maybe a fuse...but I couldn't determine which was for the fogs; so I check them all (those under 25) and none were blown.

I'm not too mech-savvy. What's the "relay?" (ie, what else can I check?).

thanks,

Kurt
ps - oddly enough, my 4runner's fogs are hosed too, but that's a whole 'nother bag o' fun.
