when ignition key is inserted...should security light stop flashing.

 

Mine stops blinking when I unlock the door using the fob. Also, you have to open up one of the doors to prevent it from locking the doors again. Anyway, where are you located in FL? I'm in Jacksonville.

 

Thanks George. I am just north of tampa. Unfortunately I had to ask that question over the phone with a friend logged in for me. I am back home but my truck is still in North Carolina!

I woke up one morning and the truck would just crank and not actually start. The security light keeps blinking when I insert the key. Unfortunately that was Christmas Eve and all the garages are closed until Monday morning.

Just trying to figure out if this might be related to the engine imobilizer or not.

 

I have the EXACT same problem. Any updates on what caused this???
