I have been looking into putting a 99-02 bumper on my 98, but several people said that it is NOT a direct bolt on, but there has to be some mods to the bumper mounts.

I was talking to Zulbatec (I think I spelled that right), and he is putting a 96 bumper on his 99. He bought be bumper, and tried it, and said it fits. Direct bolt on. No mods needed.

So, I think, great, then it should go the other way around right?

But what about everyone who has said they tried it, and it didnt fit??

Can somebody shed some light on this for me?

He bought his stuff before we talked, but he is offering to sell me his stuff.

But I want to make sure I can put it on - I'd hate to spend money on something I cant use.

 

Heres what i know. 92 to 95 4 runner interchange.96 to 98 interchange. I doubt if it will bolt up without modifying.
