98 runner keyless lock problem

98 runner keyless lock problem
I am asking this for my mom, but she has a '98 4runner and when the locks sit into the direct sun to long they get hot and the keyless entry won't unlock the side facing the sun, but they do unlock with the key. so what do you guys think the problem is?
