'98 4Runner Headlights

Hey Guys.

Does anybody know where to get inexpensive headlights and or diamond cut headlights for a '98 4Runner? They have that wierd shape that skyrockets the price up to $100 each!

Otherwise, does anyone know if it is possible to convert to newer or older headlight setups?

Thanks.

Yeah, I've been looking on eBay for awhile, but they aren't on there anymore. The 6"x7" are for the 2nd Gens, but nothing for the 3rd Gen.

Just get the 99 and up models. Or is it 98...I dunno, either way, they switched in one of those years to a clearer, multi-reflector lamp. You should be able to find them a lot of places.

You can maybe go to a junkyard and pick up the newer 99 and up models with the clear housings.

Thanks for the help guys. I had forgotten about Burtman Industries. Now I remember I had been looking there before, but that's a lot of money for something so accessible to flying rocks and such.

It was helpful information that the '99 headlights would fit. They are just as expensive, but look like they'll work better. Now to find the headlight covers to protect them...

yes they will.

BEWARE, the aftermarket ones throw out a different beam pattern from what I've heard. They are just not as good as the factory ones.

I took me about 2 months until I found a great deal on my '99 headlamps.

good luck

I have the stock headlights for my '98 4Runner. I might be willing to let them go if the price was right, PM if interested.

Thanks for the beta. You gotta like a website that has a Lotus on the front page! Too bad I don't fit in one.

Cheers,
Mike
