97runner front differential replacement?

O.K. With NO luck I have been searching for somthing that will tell me what kinda mess it would be and how long it would take for me to replace my front diff. on my 3rd gen runner. I just scored a rear axle with 4.56 gears and elocker SUPER NICE! just replaced the axle today it was simple! Now i need to think about the front. I have the diff and heard that i need to lift the motor to get the job done. Anybody know?

No, you don't need to lift the motor. The biggest pain in the rear is getting the diff at the correct angle for it to slide out. Check about 1/2 down on this page: Tacoma IFS Front ARB Air Locker RD-90.

Nice N Easy!

Yeah so i was able to pull the diff today and was surprised at how easy it was. It took a little while but i did a little looking around just to see anything that should not be.. After all it does have 220,000 miles on it! Its in great shape! Thanks for the good word!!
