97 4runner wont start
Ok,
I have a 1997 4Runner that has had no problems starting or running in the last 3 years I have had it. Now, yesterday , with a new battery that I put in last week as I am selling the car, I parked and when I came back out, nothing. There is no click or anything, I checked the battery terminals and the negative was loose a little so I tightened it up good and snug, no change. I had it jumped and drove it home and saw no lights or issues. When I shut it off, then tried to start it again, same thing, no click, and no start. I looked at all the fuses thinking it was a blown fuse, as I have seen weirder things. they all check out.. I did notice the ACC fuse in the drivers side fuse block had a wire that was sticking in the side of the fuse area, and I believe the last guy who owned it did this, not sure why.Could thids be causing the problem? I dont thin you need that fuse in to run or start but not sure..
What else could it be? Could there be a loose wire say to the alternator or starter that would cause this? Not very electrically inclined, so,, I am grasping at straws. I want to fix this so I can sell it. Any help in emails or replies here would be awesome..

Check that the battery has voltage, if you do, ckeck the battery terminal connection. If started when you had it jumped, then you know your other connections are okay. Try jumping it again......
