97 2.7L 4Runner, change timing belt?
#1
Ok guys.. I've been reading on this board and it sounds like the 90,000mile maintainence/service is when the dealer recommends changing the timing belt. I've got 174,xxx kms on my rig now.. that about 110,000 miles?
To my knowledge the timing belt has not been changed.. is it time? Is it a belt, or a chain?
I took a quick peek under the hood and at the timing cover and I dont' see any obvious stickers or markings saying it has been changed.. everything looks untouched. I bought this truck with 117,000kms on her so I doubt it was done by the previous owner.

Just last week I bought a '92 Paseo.. nice little economy car. now I just have to try and figure out when it had its last timing belt
