96 Tacoma 3.4L.. Stalled and won't Start
Driving home today my truck stalled on the highway doing about 110km/h.
No spit or sputter, just died.
Tryed to restart a bunch of times but nothing.
Towed it home and started looking over everthing, fuses are all good, no broken wires that I can see, battery is good, turns over fine. Tries to start a bit but mostly just turns over.
I think it might be the fuel pump but not sure, can use some help here.
Were can I find the fuel pump relay, and whats the easiest way to test the pump without taking it out.
Any thoughts let me know,
Thanks

On my '99 Tacoma 2.7, the EFI relay is in the fuse box under the hood. You can try swapping it with the aux. power relay (they are the same) to rule that out.
You really need to narrow down if its an ignition or fuel problem.
Have you tested if you are getting spark while cranking?
After cranking for a bit, determine if there is pressure in the fuel line. Loosening a fuel line connection is one way, but this can be dangerous and potentially start a fire.
Without you doing some investigating, all we can do is guess at lots of possibilities.

So over the weekend did some work to see what the problem was, turns out one of the pins on the fuel pump plug(Wire harness side/Female side), the ground to be exact, had some what looked to be melted plastic on it.
After cleaning the plug out, putting a bit of grease on it and pluging it back in the truck fired right up.
Havent had a problem since.
