Hi. just completed the swap. figured i would post up my finding since all other threads were differnt, close but a little differnt wire colors. to start i already ran a passanger side drop case. the swap was very easy, the new tranny was 1 inch shorter then the automatic. and i used my original 96 ecu. i tryed using the 97 doner ecu and the pins were completly differnt. so now i push the clutch in to start. (no clutch start cancell yet) my cruise control works, and reverse lights.

so everything was installed. i needed to cut the main automatic plug off the harness. and use 4 wires from it.

the drepress switch connected to the red/yel and black/red wires
the release switch connected to the white/red and black/yellow wires
and the reverse lights connected to the red/yel and black/yellow wires.
