882 lift+trim packer needed?
I just put in an order for 882 springs and OME shocks. I was reading that some people had the uneven lift problem? How much of a difference in height would it be side to side? Will i need them? I just want to make sure i have everything for assembly just so i won't have to take the struts out twice...

Are these for a straight axle truck? When i ordered my OME's there was a left and right side front spring. If they are the same, just put some shims on the driver side perch to even it out.

Mine were dead even, so no need for trim packers on my rig. It's been a while since I installed mine, but I don't remember them being labeled driver or passenger side. Take a measurement before installation and the longer of the two would go on the drivers side to compensate for the weight of the driver and fuel tank.

Before I put on my 881's I had a 3/16" mis-match, after the 881's I still had a 3/16" mismatch (the driver's side was lower).
If you don't have a mismatch with the stock springs, you should be OK without a trim-packer.
This mismatch is not visably noticable, and after driving a year on the springs, my mismatch is down to 2/16".

When I did my OME lift on my '99 I put on two sets of top-out spacers - I got them from a former member here.
I used them to even out the lift from front to rear.
I didn't have any problems with it being uneven side-to-side.
