i got this real slug 4runner with a 4banger, its lifted 3 inches with 32's on it, i was thinking of swapping in a 4.3 vortec chevy engine in it, but i dont know if this would a possibly of making legal as far as smog, is there any way to get state certified????? any input would help

 

If the engine model is from an 87 or later vehicle and you keep all the emissions equipment it is legal. After the swap you would need to see a smog ref and have them certify it for you.

 

that's what i thought, i would need to investigate further more..
