86 4runner

I found an 86 4runner for sal for about $4000. It didnt look to have any body damage but i didnt get a close inspection cuz i was running around getting stuff for my truck.

Is that a good deal if i can come up with the cash? There is also a 93 up the road for $5800. I dunno if that one has the 3.0 or 3.4, but its in really good condition and i want a runner real bad.

I would rather have the 86 for wheelin and the 93 for lookin cool, but i can only get one if at all possible.

If it sounds good i will try and grab one.

too expensive, keep looking. 1993 would be 3.0 or 2.4 - not sure if that was a typo or not...

For $4000, it would have to be in immaculate condition with <100K miles. Should be able to find a decent one for half of that price. When I was looking for mine a few years back, I couldn't believe what some guys were asking. One guy wanted $5K for a truck with 300K miles, a torn up interior, a broken rear window and literally falling apart due to body rot. Took me four months to find my 4Runner at a decent price ($2700) but if you really want one, patience is a definate plus.

3.4's first came on the scene in 1995 so a 1993 would indeed be a 3.0.

Yea, 4k is too high for 86 unless it is really something special.

Say it ain't so Ricky! I'd buy it if I didn't already have a LC. Hey, contact MNBOY who's out in WA now, and I think he's looking for a trail rig.

Yes it is so, fortunatly I have another car I am going to buy....
It is a sad day let me tell you...
Don't think you can get rid of me that easialy, once the summer starts I should be around the boards more. I have just been so busy with school lately, but this is my last week, and monday is graduation. On the 19th I am moving back up to Bellevue to start my job for the summer and I am going to attend BCC next year. I will still be wheeling, just not in my rig
