ive got an 85 runner, 22re w/ EFI...lately i have been expirenecing some engine sputter right off the idle...no idea what it is...replaced spark plugs; wire; distribuor cap and rotor...any idea???

 

Has your Timing been adjusted lately? If you are experiencing low power as well, ie. harder to get going from a stop or having trouble climbing hills, it could be timing or fuel problems.

If you haven't already, adjust the timing. I always start with the cheap, easy adjustments first, and then move to harder things, like replacing the fuel filter, or the injectors. Ugh.

 

alright, i have a new fuel filter that should be in anytime now, that is my next course of action is to replace that. hopfully it makes a lot of difference
