Good advice. I did not want to spend 6 bucks a quart but I needed it that night and did not have time to shop around. Next time I'll hit up wally world or costco first. Thanks

I came in here to post that but spaugh beat me to it I don't know why, but the Costco by me stopped carrying it, so if I need one, I have my gf pick up a case for me at the Costco by her house. You can try calling the Costco by you to make sure they have it.

It's ridiculous that oil change places charge $60+ for synthetic...

i was in new york a few years ago and went to one of the quickie oil change companies and got a synthetic blend oil and when the bill came it cost $75. when i asked why they told me that it was because of the oil i picked out not knowing it was an extra cost, plus they said that the company required them to remove any skid plates when changing oil and that was an extra $10 charge. then they tried to sell me a new air filter even though i just put my amsoil filter in there about 2 weeks previous. i got ripped, but i was in dire need of an oil change after travelling some distance. lesson learned, bring oil and tools next time.

I use either M1 syn or Castrol syntec and I go about 8-9k on mine which ends up being changed about every 10 months. I think it's more about how much time passes between oil changes than miles with average use. If I had that 25k oil it would be two years between changes which IMO is way too long.

Yeah I usually don't go longer than 5-6 months, regaurdless of miles driven. I use a valvoline syn blend. I used to put Royal Purple in the stang, and change it at 4k, but that car got reved to 7k when I needed to teach all those stock vettes a lesson, (or put a grin on my face).
