hey guys I am putting a gen 2 trd supercharger on my 02 tacoma v6 5spd. I was looking at both the 7th injector kit and then urd kit. Both look like they fix the problems of pinging and increase hp. The urd kit is $899 vs. $1100 for the 7th injector kit and looks like it is a nicer kit and comes with much more. which would be the better kit to get you guys think.. what should i go with?? thanks guys.

What about the warranty on a new tacoma? Would the URD kit void it? Plus, I've heard that the 7th injector kit is more of a plug and chug route, where as the URD kit is more for the person that likes to tune it as precise as it can go.

 

yeah i have heard the urd is more tuning which is fine, seems like people are saying urd, any other comments?

The URD kit actually solves the problems which were never addressed by TuRD. I have been a passenger in trucks with both kits and the URD equipped truck ran much better.

What part of the country are you in? Maybe someone nearby can help you with the initial install and tuning?

I definately recommend the URD over the 7th injector.

 

As I remember, the TRD supercharger doesn't void the warrenty since Toyota makes it. I'm talking specificly about the URD kit. I know that the supercharger with the 7th injector kit doesn't void the factory warrenty, but I'm wondering about the supercharger and the URD kit.

 

If you're in the New York area, why not just drive over to Gadget the man himself and have him install it for you? I think he's somewhere near maryland
