I remember them on eBay for $150 with the 4WD badge. This was 2½ years ago when I bought the truck tho. So they seem kinda inexpensive now. Anyone know of a place to find them for less?

Tint them yourself. There's a write up somewhere around here and it's a cheap mod to do.

if time is money than the $79 seems more appealing. That looks like a lot of work and it's doubtful it will have the same look as the real black pearl ones.

On this same topic, I've always want those. How hard is it to remove the old Silver ones?

Real easy. Just heat them up and get some dental floss to remove them. If there is any leftover residue, you can use 3M bug/adheasive remover from any autoparts store.

put that $80 toward something more practical...

$7.63 is more than worth the time because you'll learn something too.

OOO the bling factor is pushing me ever-so-close to ordering them.
I wonder if they would offer a group buy, but I doubt it since they are already on "sale"
Plus when I slap 'em on the credit card, It won't even bother me as this is TAX REFUND SEASON. It's like free money to me.

REARVIEW, lemme know if you order them. I may just need to be the sheep and follow someones lead.

$38.85 for the 4WD emblem. Definitely need a better price on that and I think I'll have my first evidence of bling.
$118 for them plus S+H if any.

Toyotaparts4u.com has the 4WD in Black Pearl for $24.

They still want $202 for the rest of the emblems. I am really leaning towards getting me some of that there bling.

Can anyone post or point me towards pics of a light gray 4Runner with black pearls on them? Not really looking for the DIY paint job, but would like to see them.
I searched and came up only with dark colored trucks.

ALSO: has anyone placed an order for them?

bought 2 sets from them one for my old 96 and one for my friends (now my) 2000. he installed all the limited emblems and the truck pretty much is especially after it gets painted to match. he just put the side pillar ones up wayyy to high but it still looks good having something there

Last summer I did the $7.63 model spray/cheapo method to get me some black pearl emblems. Except for some finger prints that I couldn't avoid, they looked good at first and was pretty happy. But less than a year later and they are looking a bit shoddy. The black paint has chipped off in several places and the old gold is shining through.

I'm going to try and re-do this summer with one change. USE PRIMER!
