5VZfe and 3VZe valves ?

Are the intake valves on these the same and interchangeble? I know the 5VZ and the 3VZFE are, I am pretty sure they are, but wouild like a second opinion just to confirm this, Thanks!

I doubt it since the 5VZFE has 24 valves and the 3VZE has 12.

the the 3vzFE has the same heads as a 3.4 with a different cam profile and are 24 valve heads, the 3vze on the other hand is a 12 valve motor and will not interchange.

FE means dual overhead cams. all FE yota motors have 4 valves per cylinder

they are not the same. i have done a valve job on both motors and to my surprise the 3vz valves are larger.

hmmm maybe thats why people swap them. 3vzFE heads on the 3.4 due to the flatter torque curve. i for one wish i had the money and time to build a 3.0 3vze with fe heads from 3vzfe and taco intake instead of a 3.4 swap.

I think he means the 3VZE valves are larger than the 5VZFE or 3VZFE valves. They are larger because there is only one intake and one exhaust per cylinder. To fit 4 valves/cyl in the small head space they have to be smaller. And since there are twice as many valves they don't need to be as big.

oh i thought he was talking fe heads. that makes sense and i stand by my original statement that 3.4 and 3.0 fe heads are the same with different cam profiles. of course the 12 valve ones would be bigger ha ha
