5" lift kits?

I was wondering if anybody knows where i could get a 5" lift kit? I know a place where i can get a front 7" and rear 6" kit for $1300. Is that too high for a DD? i was thinking a 5" cuz i wanted to get 35" tires, but i can get bigger if needed.

Anyways thanks for the help.

4" will fit 35s fine. if it's not enough, beat the seam down in the front fenderwells and apply a sawzall if necessary. also, look into crossover steering, much better than that drop drag link junk that lift kits sell

if you are handy with a welder. you can build a better lift than any on the market (for the money that is). I built my 5 inch lift using the stock rear springs (plus some waggy leaves) up front. and 1/2 ton Chevy springs for the rear. Marlin's hy-steer, extended brake lines, Bilstein shocks, and extended shock towers. all for around 900. Now all I have to do is have my drive shafts done. Still a lot cheaper than buying a lift. Plus I can flex way better with my setup.

that's the main problem with most bigger lifts. they don't flex well at all, since they use stiffer arched springs. with chevies and rears up front it's a flatter spring with a lower rate, flexes much better

yeah, I'm not really a big fan of stock length lift springs. Especially with the Toyota 22r/re engines. I try to make up for the lack of power, by keeping as many wheels on the ground as I can. I've done the Jeep route before. and the power was there. But there wasn't much room for longer springs. That led me into a lot of wheels up action. Also broke a lot of stuff that way. Plus, I think it's funny when I make a obsticle look easy cause I can flex/crawl over it. When others have to power through the same thing. With the basic welding skills, and a well thought out plan. You can BUILD a better suspension than most places out there. I might get a wild hair later and spend the coin on some 56 inch Orbit Eyes. But for now, I'm happy with what I have.
