Aisins Hubs All Ready to go!!!
My Aisin Hubs are rebuilt painted and ready to be put on. Many Thank yous to Yotatech and those who post!! I couldnt have done it without all the resources here!!
I bought these hubs on ebay. I especially appreciated the heads up on the little springs and ballbearing which Im sure I would have lost if I wasnt warned.I used Aircraft paint remover to strip what was left of the original paint. Man that aircraft paint remover is insane!! It will take paint and more off anything!! I cant wait to see what the difference is with free hubs in the front. Hopefully I will have time tommorow to put them on. If anyone else wants to do this mod, feel free to ask me questions. Ray

Glad this forum helped ya It has given me alot of insight on doing things to my runner as well.
My Aisins were free I snagged them off a wrecked 1990 pickup. They only cost me just the $2 gaskets I had to replace on them.

I think I have put about $100 into mine with paint gasket screws. I think i paid like $75 for the hubs. I probably could have got them cheaper if i was more patient. Im looking at doing the Downey coils in the back next.

for the 3rd gen 4Runners its crazy like $700 it usually only costs about $50 for the hubs. i ended up getting mine for free. i forget who sells them for $50 but if you do a search on Aisin Manual Hubs then there are quite a few threads, lots of info and quite a few how to's on rebuilding them. its actually pretty damn simple and a must if you've ever thinking about gettina lift.

yotayard.com has them for $50/pair, this is something that I'm gonna have to do eventually...I had intended to do it right off the bat but I got a little side tracked and my money went elsewhere, they'll get done one day though!

I gotta paint mine sometime but I have better things to do first like install my rear lockright locker and install the front ball joint spacers.

and the ole 3.slow seems to have a little more umph! Gas mileage will be better I hope. $62.00 for mine from Toyotapartsdude. simple install.
The two TRD black/charcoal emblems added about 20 more horsepower -
I swear 50 people have asked about those emblems since I added them on -
they look great on my white and black 4 runner.
